Dahlia Halpern and Meredith Moore-Painter have been
friends since they were children.
Both young women have grown up in Greensboro and
have been very active and involved in the Greensboro
community. Whether they are organizing charity
events, traveling to Honduras to build houses with
Habitat for Humanity, or focusing on their many
business ventures, they are always hard at work.
Upon graduating college, Meredith and Dahlia decided
to go into business together and do something that
they both loved. Using the knowledge that Dahlia
acquired while briefly living in Chicago and working
for an advertising agency, and Meredith’s experience
in the Pottery industry having worked in the
business for a few years prior to their attaining
ownership, they have made The Mad Platter into one
of the top hot spots in Greensboro for children’s
birthday parties, adult parties, ladies night outs,
and for anybody looking for a fun and unique
activity.
They became new owners of The Mad Platter on
Battleground Avenue in January 2006. Their second
store soon followed in November of 2006 and is
located in Quaker Village shopping center. They are
always back and forth between the stores and usually
spending time meeting and talking to all of their
customers.
