Pottery
on Wheels Program
“Pottery
on Wheels”, or pottery at your location is where we
bring the pottery, paint, idea’s and staff to your
location. The holiday season is approaching and it
is a great time to paint pottery for Christmas and
holiday gifts! We have everything from holiday
ornaments, ice cream sundae bowls, and even mugs
that are perfect for hot chocolate and coffee.
Where have we had “Pottery on wheels”
events??
We
have currently worked with over 20 different
Guilford county schools including, Jesse Wharton
Elementary, Western Guilford High School, Brookes
Global, etc. In addition we have worked with private
schools including Greensboro Day School, Caldwell
academy, Montessori, etc. Also 100’s of day cares
and even retirement centers!!
How it works!
-
We schedule about 1-2½ hours at
your location.
-
We send appropriate amount of
staff based on number of painters. Min. 20
painters required. Average groups range from
40-300 painters. No limit maximum.
-
We supply the pottery (ornaments,
ice cream bowls, tiles, plates) brushes, and the
paint.
-
We bring the pottery back to our
studio to be glazed and fired in our kiln. You
can either pick it up at our location, or it can
be delivered back to you for a $15 fee.
Why work with the Mad Platter?
Painting pottery allows children an opportunity to
creatively express themselves while making something
that will last forever.
Inexpensive art project that kids and adults love to
do! PARENTS LOVE IT TOO!!!
When is the best time to book a
party?
Holiday Season—October
thru December- to make ornaments for the family (it
isn’t JUST Christmas related) they can make a little
keepsake that they can give as a gift. Hot chocolate
mugs are perfect for the winter!!
Mother’s Day and Father’s Day-
Very popular time to have Mad Platter come to your
school. Plates, bowls and mugs are great keepsakes
for a child to decorate for mom and dad. We can even
add HAND or FOOTPRINTS!!
Earth Day-
an Innovative and new way to allow children to work
with clay and bring mother nature back to the
classroom in an artistic way.
Grandparents Day-perfect
way to thank grandma and grandpa for being so
loving!
Teacher Appreciation Day-
Thank a teacher by giving them a
platter that has all of the children’s thumbprints
turned into little bugs with the child’s name next
to it!!
This program work well with churches and corporate
functions as well as non-profits.
